If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

If it looks like a dead duck, swims like a dead duck, and quacks like a dead duck, then it probably is a dead duck.

What a great idea Michael, I wonder if Brad has thought of that for the Village? :!:

Of course it is a VERY common way of running a forum, and in fact my last post was held for moderator approval

I know that Michael, I am the moderator who approved it

Ask them

Devotional Sex wrote:
And to the moderators here - I emailed the CFNM Film with a summary of how CFNM is common within Devotional Sex, and that as it is done without humiliation or dominance it is something that vanilla women and men can enjoy. I got a reply along the lines of "very interesting. I'll talk about it with the others" and never heard back.

Now that the film seems dead, would it be ok to post that email here (perhaps in a new topic)?

I believe that it could be appropriate, Michael. Having said that I have not seen it, so I am not able to make a call based on the content. Of course you could refer to the rules for posting, you have read them, haven't you? They would be the best guide to what is appropriate for this Village. Personally I would like to see it.

Just was perusing this topic, hoping there'd be new news. Looks like no, there isn't. Even though I was supposed to be in this documentary at one point, I haven't heard a thing from the "CFNM Team". Much like the rest of you all, it appears things are on hiatus or locked up in post-production. That does happen more often than you think.

I did want to follow-up on something my dear Mod compatriot Insider had touched on. Their links. I actually was able to still access CFNMFilms.com's ABOUT, CAST, and TEAM pages:

http://cfnmfilms.com/about/

http://cfnmfilms.com/cast/

http://cfnmfilms.com/team/

But yeah, the forum is withered up and disappeared. I guess we'll see what comes of it, now, over a year later!

Thanx Supe
I checked with another comp / browser setup and the TEAM and CAST pages are still active as you have noted

BUT my loaded Firefox won't access them
ergo ... I don't GO !!!!
OR maybe it's the VPN

hate it when that happens !

What I find strange was that the trailer had been pulled from Vimeo. As far as I know, it doesn't cost money to post something on that site, so they would have had to actively pull it down.

It felt like the project changed focus as time went on. For example, here is from their page you just posted. How many of them have anything directly to do with what we talk about on this board:

Quote:
Our film explores 5 questions:
1. Do women have a higher sex drive then men?
2. How do women sexually objectify men in society?
3. Does sexual repression intensify the female sex drive?
4. What is the difference between the male and female orgasm?
5. Does the pill decrease the sex drive?

I just jumped onto Vimeo, to check out if Jan's trailer was actually gone. It doesn't look like it was pulled, they just re-did the trailer. In fact, instead of there being just one, there's now two.

A re-edited version of the first: https://vimeo.com/220275202

A completely different, sort of 'teaser' trailer: https://vimeo.com/222530527

Well, here is an interesting development I stumbled upon today while flipping through my Vimeo newsfeed, a new trailer from "CFNM Films":

https://vimeo.com/233232728

If you notice, the focus has slightly shifted away from speaking specifically of CFNM. It's seemingly, subtly more geared towards exploring female sexuality through the lens of a variety of factors. It still has the same thesis as it did at the beginning - "do women have as strong of a sex drive as men?". But it's a bit apparent they're tweaking what might reach a wider audience.

All this, of course, is just my lowly opinion.

I've corresponded with Anna and others for a while. The project definitely has passionate followers - all of whom are female. As with all productions, there is some "hustle" to get it going, and, folks seeking money. But I've never believed this project to be a scam, just something that needs a stronger following.

Seems to have shifted into being a documentary about feminism/female power. Personally of much less interest to me as a CFNM-fan.

Actually, I prefer the tact they're taking. CFNM for the most part is currently a male fantasy fetish. CFNM brings together men and only men on such forums as this to sit alone at their computers and masturbate in unison as they are deluded into thinking there are women out there into it as well. It is created to sell porn to men, and only men. Men will continue to resist any change that takes it from a male-only fantasy to be more inclusive of women as they're far more content with masturbating by themselves exclusive of any female participation maintaining a delusion that somehow women - instead of just other men - are part of their collective erotic experience.

When I created the concept of "CFNM" and created Visual Sensations for Women, the emphasis was on "women", and it was to bring the concept to them. And if that means men become less enthralled where women want to take it, great! The key for me is to let women take it to whatever destination they want, even if it means they take ownership of the meaning "CFNM" away from men, because the end result will be participation by *real* women (not just guys impersonating women and posting on these boards), with a dialogue that evolves CFNM into a concept enjoyed and pursued equally by men and women.

It's always been a dream of mine to do that, and hopefully, this is a start towards that dream.

I have to say I completely agree.

I'm also happy to see that they're very much focusing on women being interviewed for what seems to be every part of the documentary. I still am puzzled by why they would've opted to interview me before interviewing the freaking editor of Playgirl magazine. I'm very much stoked for the fact she's in there. She belongs there. Me?? Not so much.

CFNM has always been, from my perspective, all about the women/women being in the front seat of the situation. The man/men involved are merely passengers on the ride. So, to see the film makers shift things to a more female-first sexual perspective and exploring it, makes it far more interesting to me.

I am personally interested in the film the matter what it's focus is. If feminism is the angle that would be interesting as well and it's always interesting to hear female perspectives on female sexuality and interests in CFNM and stuff of that nature as that is something you do not hear very often, because as Brad said it's mostly a male focused fetish that has deviated from the original intention of giving women power in sexual situations.

What worries me about the film is it seems their approach is likely to be Radical Feminist.

Equality feminism is about striving for equality of opportunity and for mutual respect.

Radical feminism sees the world as a battle between men and women, with men having been dominant in the past and the aim being to reverse this and have men dominating women. The sins that men inflicted on women will now be inflicted on men by women - Victory!

A simple test of whether something is about equality or is radical is to reverse the people involved. So how would the makers of this film have responded to a video clip talking about male vs female made 40 years ago using all the stats showing males in control and influence and using this to prove that females are inferior? Evil propaganda from the patriarchy probably. But how is their clip any different?

Men have a long history of objectifying women without caring how they feel. I fear that this film will be a celebration of women committing the same sin on men. And the kinky men who enjoy being dominated and humilated will be used to prove that this is ok.

For me it doesn't matter if it is two males, two females, or a male and female who are engaging in sexual activity. In each case it should be about mutual respect and doing things that BOTH enjoy. If one person enjoys being humiliated and the other enjoys making them feel this way then I'm happy for this couple to enjoy mutual kinky fun. But if one person isn't enjoying the experience it is wrong.

Of course I'll have to see the final film to find out whether or not they do take a radical feminist perspective. I'll find it very disappointing if they do.

For virtually all religions and cultures, there will always be the "radical _________" (fill in the blank) fringe groups that preach hate. The white supremacist that caused so much grief recently in the U.S. claim their agenda is about God and country and "making America great again" when in fact their radical views are anit-American, at least the America I grew up to respect. If one learns about the fundamentals behind the Islamic faith, you will find much of it is about peace and love of mankind - in fact, up until the late 20th century Muslims were among the most peaceful of religions. What changed how the west views Muslims were were the small minority of radicals that perverted it's meaning to one of hate and violence.

Feminism has not been immune to such radical hate speech. But as with all movements, fair-minded people marginalize those that preach hatred and anger as being on the fringe and not representative of the movement. Unfortunately, the media has an obsession with pointing cameras at the radical fringe of any group giving them far more coverage than they deserve.

Watch this quick video. Milo Yiannopoulos rips apart what "feminism" has become, which has far less to do with equality than it is about hatred of men, and, how the vast majority of women that believe in equality (92%) eschew the label "feminism".

https://youtu.be/M3ij1-VB9YA

Back to the media...as it pertains to their harmful obsession with fringe groups that preach hate, this image really shows the area I grew up, and how the majority of people respond to each other:

Image

Conclusion - the best way for society to deal with the radical fringe of any group that preaches hate is to simply ignore them, not fight them as they aren't worth the effort. Ignoring their hate speech is a hard punch in their face and is like infecting them with terminal cancer, absent people to listen, they'll eventually die and go away.

Wow. They've done some MAJOR re-tooling. Take a look at the difference between the casts from CFNM Films to Higher Sex Drive:

https://cfnmfilms.com/cast/

https://highersexdrive.com/cast/

Notice that the male stripper, the element of CFNM, has been removed. I'm now glad I didn't take part, as I would've gotten the axe as well, no doubt. I do, however, still think this will an interesting documentary. Just kinda sucks that they launched it off of our whole community only to seemingly drop us. To a good extent, anyway.

I don't want to disparage the project too much, but one could draw that conclusion from how things have progressed. I mean, they really did have seemingly genuine intentions of bringing CFNM to a much wider audience, while maintaining it's true non-porn industry meaning. I'm holding out hope that the CFNM elements they'd intended at the beginning will still be there to some degree.
