There are a couple of work-arounds. One is to use "download helper", a free app for Mozilla Firefox. There's a conversion app with it that you can buy. Another is to use one of the video screen capture software programs like Snagit.
My personal experience with this is that in some instances, the download helper will do the trick, but notin others. However, you can often get the video URL, and sometimes you can go on from there with the help of a download manager and perform the download. In other cases,at least one of several third party websites* may help.
